Riverside Rams 8, Palmyra Panthers 2
BCSL Freedom Division Game
PALMYRA—Riverside improved to 3-0 in the Burlington County Scholastic League Freedom Division with an 8-2 road win at Palmyra on Thursday.
For Riverside (3-1, 3-0 BCSL Freedom), senior catcher Mike Wasco had three hits including a double with senior Zach Schultice adding two RBI’s.
Junior Alex Chotalal scored three times with fellow junior Kevin Joo scoring twice.
Senior Tony Caruso picked up his first win of the season, throwing four innings of one-hit relief, recording two strikeouts.
The Rams broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Joo with the Riverside adding a second run off a Palmyra error.
An RBI double from Chotalal keyed a four run seventh inning as the Rams put the game away.
Riverside has won 36 straight against Palmyra dating back to the 1989 season.
The Rams travel to Maple Shade on Saturday for a BCSL Freedom Division game.
