Cherry Hill East 5, Riverside Rams 1
Over $500 raised for Komen and Scholarship Fund

TRENTON—The Rams concluded the 2008 season with a 5-1 loss at Waterfront Park, home of the Trenton Thunder.

For Riverside (11-11), juniors Don Strain and Alex Chotalal and senior Dave Kinney had the only three hits as Nate Mullberg threw six innings with three strikeouts for Cherry Hill East.

Nick Petalino had two RBI’s and scored twice for the Cougars with Pat Thompson adding three hits.

The game, originally scheduled for May 18 was Riverside’s annual game at the Thunder to raise money for the Susan Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.  In addition the Rams raised money from ticket sales for the Jason Siddell Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Siddell, a 2001 Riverside grad and varsity letter winner for both football and baseball, was killed in an industrial accident in January.

Combined, Riverside fans raised $510 for both causes.
