BCSL Freedom Division Game
PALMYRA--Junior Dillon O'Neal won his fourth game of the season, throwing a complete game six-hitter, recording seven strikeouts as the Riverside Rams won at Palmyra Wednesday afternoon.
For the Rams, senior Marc Mount hit his second home run of the season, giving Riverside (9-9, 6-4 BCSL Freedom) a 2-0 first inning lead.
An RBI double by senior Don Strain and RBI single by sophomore Tim Borek gave the Rams a 4-0 lead in the second inning. Borek's hit extended his hitting streak to eight games.
After Palmyra cut the Riverside lead to 4-3, junior Dominic Perillo hit an RBI double, scoring senior Kevin Joo giving the Rams a 5-3 fourth inning lead and O'Neal's sacrifice fly in the fifth opened the lead to 6-3.
The Panthers cut the deficit to 6-4 on a stolen base and throwing error in the bottom of the fifth with Bill Devlin hitting a solo home run to lead off the Palmyra sixth and make it a one run game.
Perillo threw out Panther James Citino stealing second in the bottom of the seventh to end the game.
Riverside has won two straight games.
The Rams travel to Burlington Township on Monday for a BCSL Intra-Division game.
