High School Varsity Baseball
Six Rams Honored with All-BCSL Freedom Selections
DELRAN—In voting by the league head coaches on May 12, six members of the Riverside High School varsity baseball team received either first or second team honors it was announced this past week.
From Riverside, First Team All-BCSL Freedom honors went to seniors Marc Mount and Donnie Strain with sophomore Tim Borek also honored.
For the Rams on BCSL Freedom Division Second Team, senior Kevin Joo and juniors Dillon O’Neal and Matt Leith were honored.
Mount earned his selection at third base with Strain earning his selection in the outfield. This season, Borek was the First Team designated hitter. Borek was the Second Team second baseman as a freshman in 2008.
Joo and Leith each earned Second Team honors as a pitcher with O’Neal earning recognition at first base.
2009 Freedom Division champion Maple Shade led all teams with six First Team selections and had eight players honored overall.
The First Team selections will be honored at the BCSL Spring Athletic Awards dinner at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on June 2 at 7:00 p.m.
