June 2, 2005 - Senior Ian King - Named to the 2005 Burlington County Carpenter Cup Squad
Riverside senior Ian King will participate for Burlington County as part of the 2005 Carpenter Cup squad, starting on June 9th at the University of Pennsylvania when BURLCO faces Inter-Ac/Independents at 4:30pm.  In addition, Ram volunteer assistant Brian Solomon will assist the team with media relations for the seventh time.

June 1, 2005 - King, Capparelli & Rossi Receive Team Awards for 2005

Riverside senior Ian King was named team MVP, and seniors Jim Capparelli and Mike Rossi were awarded the coaches award for the 2005 season at the Riverside High School Sports Banquet at the Kove II on Wednesday night.

Varsity baseball player Brandon Ransburgh was honored at the Riverside Board of Education meeting on May 19th for being named student of the month.  Ransburgh, a junior,  is currently ranked first in his class. 
May 19, 2005 - Group I Pairing Announced
Riverside will be the #3 seed and will host #6 Pitman on Friday, May 27th at 2:00pm in an NJSIAA South Jersey Group I quarter-final game.  The winner will travel to #2 Gloucester on Tuesday, May 31, at 4:00pm.

At the Burlington County League meetings Monday night, six Riverside Rams were honored with Burlington County Scholastic League Freedom Division honors.  Riverside placed seniors Ian King (OF) and Jim Capparelli (3B) on the first team with senior Mike Rossi (OF), juniors Dennis O'Hanlan (SS) and Mark Cimorelli (P) and sophomore Brendon Griffin (1B) earning second team honors.

Junior Alan Hendrick threw a complete game two-hitter, recording six strikeouts as Riverisde (14-5, 7-2 BCSL Freedom) defeated McCorristin Catholic 13-0 in a BCSL Freedom Division game Friday.  Ram Head Coach Gary Herron picked up his 200th win at the helm of Riverside and his 204th win overall.

Junior Mark Cimorelli ran his record to 4-0 on the season and senior Mike Rossi hit a three run home run as the Rams defeated Westampton Tech. 13-1 on Friday in a BCSL Freedom Division game.  Cimorelli pitched four innings of three-hit ball and struck out six.

The Rams improved to 5-1 on the 2005 season with a split at the William G. Rohrer Classic hosted by Haddon Township on Saturday.  The Riverside/Timber Creek game and the consolation game were moved to Timber Creek from Haddon Township due to wet field conditions at the auxiliary field.

Brandon Ransburgh
March 23, 2005 - Ransburgh honored at Burlington County Dinner - (Courtesy of the Burlington County Times)

More than 325 people crowded into the banquet hall at the Regency Palace for the county's 17th annual academic achievement dinner.  The event, organized by the Burlington County Secondary Principals and Supervisors Association, recognized the top academic students in 10th through 12th grades at the county's 21 public high schools.  From the Riverside Baseball team, junior outfielder Brandon Ransburgh was honored.  Ransburgh is currently ranked number one in his class at Riverside.

Riverside's Graf Named Football - 2nd Team BCSL Freedom / Burlington County Times Scholar Athlete
Senior Joe Graf who plays for the Ram baseball team in the spring, received BCSL Freedom Division honors and was named a Burlington County Times Scholar Athlete for football during the 2004 season.  Graf is one of 11 Rams on the varsity roster with over an 85 (3.0) average.

Riverside's Rossi - Burlington County Times Scholar Athlete
Senior Mike Rossi who plays for the Ram baseball team in the spring was named a Burlington County Times Scholar Athlete for soccer during the 2004 season.  Rossi is one of 11 Rams on the varsity roster with over an 85 (3.0) average.
Riverside Assistant to head Delran Emergency Squad in 2005
Riverside volunteer assistant baseball coach Brian Solomon was elected president of the Delran Emergency Squad for 2005 on November 18, 2004.  Solomon who is a 15-year volunteer EMT has spent the last 12 years with the Delran squad, holding various line and executive officer positions including the last seven years as squad treasurer.  The 84 member emergency squad serves the townships of Delran and Riverside in Burlington County.  Solomon is entering his 10th season coaching at Riverside after four seasons at Cinnaminson.

Riverside's Griffin Named Football - 2nd Team All-County by the Burlington County Times
Sophomore Brendon Griffin who plays for the Ram baseball team in the spring was named 2nd team Burlington County Times All-County-offense in football for the 2004 season.

Ian King
Ian King posts top 10 finish
Senior Ian King of the Riverside High School Cross Country team finished ninth in the Burlington County Scholastic League Freedom Division race on Wednesday, October 13.  King, who will be entering his fourth season on the varsity baseball team in the spring, covered the 3.1 mile course in 17:48.  
2004 Riverside Hall of Fame - Eight inducted October 16, 2004
Seven former athletes and one coach were inducted as the newest members of the Riverside High School Sports Hall of Fame.  Their induction was held during the organization's annual dinner Saturday October 16 at the Kove II in Edgewater Park.
